iPad Sales Prospecting Tool for Financial Services Company

Overview

The client, a global leader in corporate finance wanted an iPad app for their top sales people to use in the field for prospecting new clients.  They wanted the ability to have a wealth of corporate information at their fingertips which would assist them prior to and during meetings with prospects.

The client licensed a company data feed from a top tier company information vendor and wanted Outright to integrate the data into their sales workflow.  The data feed contained company profile information, financial data, executive profiles, and news.

The iPad app would provide sales executives up-to-the-minute company data on Fortune 2000 companies including company profiles, current and historical earnings data, executive profiles and contact information, as well as news.

The Solution

Outright created a native iOS iPad app which allowed the client's employees to access company information quickly and store the data locally on the iPad so that users could still access it even when there is no internet connectivity available. 

 

Executive Bios

The app contained a registration functionality which allowed the client to distribute the app via the App Store yet control who has access to it.  Company- and news-related data was provided via a leading company information provider which was licensed by the client.  The data was accessible to Outright via a REST JSON web service API.  Outright integrated the data into the app.
