Project Description

Overview

The client is a consumer cosmetic manufacturer who wanted a new website with a modern look and responsive design.  The client also sells their product via the website and wanted an eCommerce capability built in, as well as a CMS so that they could manage the site’s content after the site went live.

Blog Listing Layout

Challenges

The website had a number of challenges including a complex layout which involved displaying blog article posts with their associated content, titles, and images in a number of varying layouts.  Further, some of the site’s pages were a challenge to build as responsive layouts due to the complexity of the design and tabular layouts.  Further, the client wanted to use 3DCart as its eCommerce/shopping cart provider (they were already familiar and comfortable with 3DCart from their existing website).  Since 3DCart is a hosted solution, the 3DCart site needed to be themed separately and then linked from the primary website.

3DCart Shopping Cart

  • HTML5CSS3jQuery

  • Blog content displayed with multiple layouts leveraging substitute titles and images
  • 3DCart eCommerce integration
  • Store locator functionality
  • Email sign up integration with Constant Contact
  • Press/news section
  • ShareThis integration
  • Social media connections
